To provide a container for packaging chicken eggs, which has a plate-like coupled part on which a breaking strip formed by two longitudinally extending perforated lines is made to make the container suitable for holding/storing the chicken eggs.

The container comprises a holding part 2 and a lid 3, which are shaped to be suitable for storing the eggs, and flanges 4, 5 having identical width are formed integrally on the periphery of the holding part 2 and the lid 3, respectively. Either one of the longitudinal portions of respective flanges 4, 5 of the holding part 2 and the lid 3 are coupled together at their edges to form the coupled part having a joint, along which a first perforated line 6 is formed longitudinally to form a folding part. On the longitudinal portion of the flange 5 of the lid 3 along the folding part, a second perforated line 6a is formed to be almost parallel with the first perforated line 6 to form the breaking strip 7 between both perforated lines. To separate the lid 3 from the holding part 2, the breaking strip 7 is removed.
