Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting machine capable of controlling surface temperature distribution of a cast slab in a full width direction symmetrically with a center line of the cast slab.SOLUTION: A continuous casting machine comprises at least one or more of a surface temperature measuring device pairs made up of two surface temperature measuring devices, which measure surface temperature of a cast slab, are arranged by using a center line in a width direction of a cast slab as an axis so as to make a pair on symmetrical positions on both sides of the axis. The machine has a secondary cooling control device which independently controls a cooling water flow rate on both sides of the center line in the width direction in a secondary cooling zone at least on a downstream side in a casting direction of the cast slab of the surface temperature measuring device, and the secondary cooling control device controls a cooling water flow rate so as to control surface temperature actual values of the cast slab to the same surface temperature target values on both sides of the center line in the width direction.
