To provide a continuous casting method using a cooling method of a roller achieving the prolongation of the lifetime of the roller.
This continuous casting method is a method using the cooling method of the rollers 11a, 11b arranged at an air cooling zone positioned at a downstream side of a secondary cooling zone. The roller diameter of the rollers 11a, 11b is 290-400 mm and the roller width thereof is 400-650 mm, and casting speed Vc satisfies 0.4≤Vc≤0.65 m/mim. An opposite reference-side roller 11b is cooled by mist and a reference-side roller 11a is cooled by spraying. A water amount to be supplied to the opposite reference-side roller 11b is made to be 0.05-0.2 m3/h per one roller and an air amount is made to be ≥20 Nm3/h per one roller, and a water amount to be supplied to the reference-side roller 11a is made to be 0.5-1.0 m3/h per one roller. The difference of the water amount between at the opposite reference-side and at the reference-side is made to be ≥0.35 and ≤0.70 m3/h.
