Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable continuous manufacture of rough metal from the refined nonferrous metal sulfide ore by improving a counter current continuous furnace as a single furnace.

CONSTITUTION: Refined nonferrous metal sulfide ore is introduced to a single furnace 1 provided with a sidelong oxidation region O and a reduction region R together with carrier gasses via a lance 8 and a lower metallic layer M and an upper slag layer S are countercurrently fluidized. The upper space of rough metal M and the slag layer S of the oxidation region O and the reduction region R is separated with a partition wall 3. An oxidizing agent is overblown to the oxidizing region O from a lance 8 and the oxidizing agent and a reducing agent are overblown to the reduction region R from a lance 10. The rough metal is recovered from a discharge port 5 and the slag is discharged from a discharge port 6. The SO2 generated in the oxidation region O and the CO generated in the reduction region R are respectively recovered from exhaust gas ports 10, 11.
