Abstract:

To provide an imaging means using ESRI.

This contrast medium for electron spin resonance imaging (ESRI) comprising a spin-labeled amino acid is a liquid containing the spin-labeled amino acid as much as 10 mM or more, wherein the amino acid is methionine. The contrast medium images a malignant brain tumor. A step of spin-labeling an amino acid, namely, a method for producing a contrast medium for ESRI is also provided. Localization and qualitative diagnosis of a tumor in a living body are aimed.
