Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively treat soot and NOX while improving fuel economy.
SOLUTION: A continuously variable transmission is provided. An engine control curves show the relationship between an engine speed required for calculating required output, and required torque. The engine control curves comprise a first control curve X, and a second control curve Y on a high torque and low speed side compared with the first control curve X, with respect to the same required output. The control apparatus controls the engine to output the required torque TQ and rotate at engine speed N on the first control curve X (point P) corresponding to the required output C, when the degree of activation of an exhaust emission control device is low. On the other hand, when the degree of the activation is high, the control apparatus controls the engine to the output the required torque TQ and rotate at engine speed N, on the second control curve Y (point Q), corresponding to the required output C.
