Abstract:
PURPOSE: To accurately judge the abnormality of an output shaft rotating speed sensor by judging the normality of the output shaft rotating speed sensor based on the judgment that the multiplied value of the rotating speed of an output shaft and the gear ratio of an automatic transmission coincides with the rotating speed of an input shaft.
CONSTITUTION: This control device for an automatic transmission 14 is provided with a judging device 18 judging the abnormal stage of an input shaft rotating speed sensor 19 detecting the rotating speed N1 of the input shaft 15 of the automatic transmission 14 and a judging device 21 judging the abnormal state of an output shaft rotation speed sensor 20 detecting the rotating speed NO of the output shaft 16 of the automatic transmission 14. The rotating speed NO of the output shaft 16 is multiplied by the presently selected gear ratio G of the automatic transmission 14 by a multiplying means 23, and whether the obtained multiplied value coincides with the rotating speed N1 of the input shaft 15 or not is judged by a comparing/judging means 22. When YES is judged by the comparing/judging means 22, the normality of the output shaft rotating speed sensor 20 is judged by the judging device 21 based on the deceleration of a vehicle.
