Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily tow an automobile backward by a human power.
SOLUTION: A control device of an electric automobile has an acceleration output circuit 18 for generating output according to the opening of an accelerator and a chopper circuit 14 for changing the conduction rate of the motor current of an electric motor 13 that is connected to a power supply according to input from the acceleration output circuit 18. In the control device, a relay 12 that is switched being linked to a main switch 15 is connected in series with the electric motor 13 and further a flywheel diode 16 is connected in parallel with the series circuit between the electric motor 13 and the relay 12. In this manner, when the electric automobile advances, the contact of the relay 12 is closed and the conduction rate of the motor current of the electric motor is changed by a chopper circuit 14 for driving. Also, when the electric automobile is towed toward the rear by a human power, the contact of the relay 12 opens. Even if the automobile is towed by a human power, a power generated by the electric motor does not flow back via the flywheel diode 16 so that no electrical damping is performed, thus easily towing the electric automobile by a human power.
