Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prepare a rubber compsn. contg. an antiozonant, being relatively cheap and of general-purpose use, and exhibiting a remarkable effect above a specified temp. by compounding the antiozonant selected from the group consisting of specific compds. CONSTITUTION:An antiozonant selected from the group consisting of compds. of formulas I to V is compounded into a rubber. Thus is obtd. a compsn. contg. an antiozonant, being relatively cheap and of general-purpose use, and exhibiting a satisfactory antiozonant effect which has been unattainable with a commercially available petroleum wax for rubber. In formulas I and II, [R<1> is 11-45C alkyl or alkenyl; R<2> is H, 1-18C alkyl, or alkenyl; and X is a group of formula VI (wherein n is 1-6)]. In formula III, R<3> is 17-45C alkyl or alkenyl; and R<4> is H, 12-46C alkyl, or alkenyl. In formula IV, R<5> is the same as R<1>; and Y is a group of formula VII or VIII (wherein m is 1-10). In formula V, R<6> is 17-45C alkyl or a group of formula IX.
