Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve initialization performance before starting an electromagnetic intake/exhaust valve of an engine.
SOLUTION: In an engine equipped with an electromagnetic intake/exhaust valve, when lubricating oil temperature to is a set temperature to 0 or more (S1, 2 to S3), resonance initialization control is performed (S3 to S6) in which an electromagnet to open the valve and an electromagnet to close the valve are energized alternately to resonance over an armature, and when an amplitude becomes large, the armature is absorbed to hold the valve closed or opened. When the lubricating oil temperature to is lower than the set temperature to 0 (S1, 2 to S7), one-touch initialization control is performed (S7 to S9) in which the intake/exhaust valve is held closed or opened by energizing the electromagnet to open the valve or the one to close the valve only once to absorb the armature. Thereby, power consumption can be saved as much as possible and initialization can be reliably completed.
