Abstract:
To cause a fuel pump to perform appropriate pressure-feeding of fuel to downstream side.SOLUTION: A low pressure pump 52 has a pressurizing unit pressurizing fuel in a fuel tank 51, and an external opening portion provided at a position on the opposite side to the pressurizing downstream side of the pressurizing unit. Fuel pressure-fed from the low pressure pump 52 to its downstream side is supplied via a high pressure pump 54 and a fuel rail 56 to an injector 27. An ECU 40 comprises: a vapor determination unit determining that vapor is generated in the low pressure pump 52; and a pump control unit temporarily restricting the driven of the low pressure pump 52, and after the driven restriction, causing the low pressure pump 52 to be driven at high rotation speed higher than before the driven restriction, when the vapor determination unit determines that the vapor is generated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
