To provide a heating apparatus having further improved safety by allowing automatic switch from a normal operation mode into a safety operation mode without need for pushing a special switch such as a child lock switch.
The normal operation mode is automatically switched into the safety operation mode after continuous operation for a preset time by a control sequence, further improving safety. The safety operation mode forces heating output to be lower than that in the normal operation mode or produces a change into a correction set temperature (20°C, e.g.) lower than a set temperature (27°C, e.g.) to control operation in accordance with the correction set temperature. A reset switch is provided for resetting heating operation to the normal operation mode. When pushed in the safety operation mode, the reset switch resets it to the normal operation mode to prevent a temperature in a room from being lower.
