The control device of the hybrid vehicle that includes: a gear change means that changes at least the output torque of the internal combustion engine with a plurality of transmission gear ratios and transmit it to driving wheels; and a manual shift means that executes the gear change based on the manual shift operation of a driver, is provided with an output characteristic control means (steps S6, S7, S8) that sets the output characteristics of the electric motor based on the output characteristic of the internal combustion engine when executing the gear shift by the manual shift means.
