The load input to a hinge pin 43 of a reclining mechanism 40A from a vehicle door 20 deformed accompanied by the lateral collision of the vehicle is inputted to a center console 12 from the hinge pin 43 of a reclining mechanism 40B via a reinforcing member 44 to suppress the deformation of the vehicle seat 21 in the direction for narrowing the seating space of the occupant. This seat holding structure for the vehicle includes a seat side locking part 26a and a console side locking part 15 which are arranged between the vehicle seat 21 and the center console 12 opposed in the vehicle width direction and lock the movement to the upper side of the vehicle seat 21 in such a state that the hinge pin 43 of the reclining mechanism 40B is supported by the center console 12.
