Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of maintaining the air-fuel ratio at the target value, controlling the engine torque at the target value, and controlling the engine torque with good accuracy when the target air-fuel ratio is changed in the internal combustion engine.
SOLUTION: When the target air-fuel ratio is changed, the target equivalence ratio tDML (the first target equivalence ratio) is divided by the first combustion efficiency ITAF1 for correction to obtain the second target equivalence ratio tDML', the second target equivalence ratio tDML' is phase-lag-corrected in response to the cylinder filling lag of the intake air quantity to obtain the third target equivalence ratio tDML", the third target equivalence ratio tDML" is multiplied by the second combustion efficiency ITAF2 for correction to obtain the fourth target equivalence ratio tDML"', and fuel is fed according to the fourth target equivalence ratio tDML"'.
