Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of further improving NOx emission and reducing combustion noises without causing deterioration in drivability at the time of changing a combustion method from stratified combustion to homogeneous combustion. SOLUTION: An ECU 16 changes a control method of an injection system and an ignition system to a control method in the homogeneous combustion after specified delay time passes after changing opening of an EGR valve 20 at the time of changing the combustion method of the internal combustion engine 10 to the homogeneous combustion. Thereafter, ECU 16 carries out torque reduction control by delay angle correction of ignition time after changing the control method. The ECU 16 varies the delay time in accordance with a driving condition and delay angle correction quantity at torque reduction control is set in accordance with the delay time to be changed in this way.
