When a transfer pendant remote control switch serving as a manual operating means is ON, a limit switch is OFF, and the transfer pendant remote control switch is in rising action (YES in S1, NO in S2 and YES in S3), data of the target transfer position for transfer which is about to take place, is read from a storage means and set to the automated guided vehicle side (S5, S6). If the deceleration start timing of the transfer device is close into a prescribed range (YES in S7), the led-out data of a deceleration start position is set to the automated guided vehicle side, and the speed of predetermined "high speed" is set to the transfer device (S8). When the deceleration start timing comes (YES in S9), the speed of "low speed" is set, and deceleration control of the transfer device is performed (S10). When the present position of the transfer device reaches the target transfer position, (YES in S11), the movement of the transfer device is stopped (S3).
