Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire, with a simple method, a change in the spot shape of a light beam on a photoreceptor in an image forming apparatus performing image formation with an electrophotographic method.SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus employing an electrophotographic method, an image pattern formation control unit 401 forms predetermined test patterns with a plurality of image forming conditions to obtain a plurality of image patterns. A density detection unit 160 acquires the density of each of the image patterns, and a blur amount estimation unit 403 estimates the condensation state of a light beam on the basis of the amount of change in density between the plurality of image patterns.
