Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for acquisition of signals necessary for both dynamic range expansion and focus detection at higher operating frequencies using limited circuit resources.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: exposure control means controlling exposure; an imaging device including a plurality of photoelectric conversion units for each of a plurality of micro-lenses; and control means controlling the imaging device so that the imaging device reads an image signal of a plurality of images from the imaging device at a plurality of different exposures and reads a signal for focus detection from a part of the plurality of photoelectric conversion units at any one of the plurality of exposures.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
