Abstract:
PURPOSE: To surely restart an arc.
CONSTITUTION: When an arc start results in a failure in a state with the arc run out without being able to detect an arc current at the time of starting the arc, a welding wire 31 is brought into contact with the surfaces of works 33 to be welded with specified pressure detected by CT34 by a motor 35 of a wire feeder 30 and a welding torch 32 is moved by a travel set at the traveling speed set in the welding course direction to drag the welding wire, by which insulating material such as slag generated on the wire tip is removed. Afterward, the welding wire is sent back by the specified quantity for next welding to return to an arc restarting point and a robot restarts the arc automatically at this return point.
