Abstract:

To provide a control system for a centrifugal compressor capable of preventing ice formed on a guide vane in a protruded state from being built up and peeled off in blocks when the guide vane is drawn in, and thereby capable of preventing an impeller from being damaged.

An ECU is adopted to a compressor 31 including a movable vane 316 getting in and out of a diffuser flow path and a drive unit 317 for driving the movable vane 316. The ECU includes a controller for controlling the drive unit 317 to temporarily draw in the movable vane 316 from the diffuser flow path when the movable vane 316 has been protruded into the diffuser flow path for a predetermined time period in an icing environment. The compressor 31 is provided to intervene in an engine intake system, and the exhaust is refluxed into the intake system.
