Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller and a control method of a linear compressor in which the initial value of a piston is designed appropriately (or optimally) in the operating range or the active range (or high efficiency operating range) by taking account of the efficiency aspect, and the maximum cooling capacity can be increased by performing asymmetric operation in a heavy load operation range (or high cooling capacity operation range).SOLUTION: A controller of linear compressor may include a drive section for driving a linear compressor on the basis of a control signal, a detector for detecting the motor current and motor voltage of a motor in the linear compressor, an asymmetric current generating section for generating an asymmetric motor current by applying current offset to the motor current thus detected, and a control section for generating the control signal on the basis of the asymmetric motor current and the motor voltage thus detected.
