PURPOSE: To recover in a short time even if fuel injection control becomes impossible on account of noise by separating charge/discharge circuit from a DC high voltage generation means temporarily when thyristors for charging/ discharging are set ON and short circuit is generated.
CONSTITUTION: In a control unit 20, an electrostriction actuator 8 is charged and discharged by means of thyristors S1, S2 for charging/discharging in order to control fuel injection from a fuel injection valve. When the thyristors for charging and discharging S1, S2 are placed in ON-condition on account of noise and the like, it is detected by a short detection means, and a switch means D is set OFF by a control unit 20 by means of an interrupt signal, and a charge/ discharge circuit B is separated from a DC high voltage generation means A temporarily. A condition in which fuel injection control is possible to be reset after the lapse of a short time even if the fuel injection control becomes impossible on account of noise.
