Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for measuring a sheet material capable of allowing to easily remove or set a sensor when the sensor mounted on a sensor head is changed into another kind of sensor.
SOLUTION: This controller is applied to a sensor head 32 subjected to linear and reciprocating motion along a measurement frame across the width of a sheet for scanning. In this case, the controller comprises; a sensor 10 mounted on the sensor head 32 for measuring the state quantities of the sheet, a sensor calculating means 14 mounted on the sensor head 32 for performing a calculation required for the sensor 10 correspondingly to a one-to-one measurement signal of the sensor 10, a communication controlling means 18 connected to the sensor calculating means 14 in a one-to-one corresponding way and also connected to a network-type general-purpose communication line 26, a man- machine interface 52 for receiving an information through a calculating processor and communication and for operating and watching circumstances in a sheetmanufacturing process, and the network-type general-purpose communication line 26 connected to both the communication controlling means 18 and manmachine interface 52.
