To provide a controller capable of consecutively changing only a speed curve at a specified operating position of an operation means, overlapping offset on a manipulated variable of the operation means while maintaining curve shape of a transformation function, and obtained easily and inexpensively.
The controller which outputs a speed command signal for operating an operation object part of a lens includes: the operation means; a manipulated variable detection means configured to detect the manipulated variable of the operation means; a manipulated variable conversion means configured to output the speed command signal based on the manipulated variable; a signal adjusting means configured to adjust the speed command signal; and a transformation function generating means configured to derive one transformation function based on a reference transformation function for regulating the speed command signal to the manipulated variable with an adjustment amount of the signal adjusting means as a parameter. The manipulated variable conversion means converts the manipulated variable into the speed command signal based on the derived transformation function and outputs the speed command signal.
