PURPOSE: To make an operation not continue even if the operation is started by a fault movement while the operation is suspended by a method wherein operation stopping signals are repeatedly sent at the determined time intervals from a console to an air conditioner body while the operation is suspended.

CONSTITUTION: The air conditioner body A and the console B, which is set up independedly, are provided, and the air conditioner body A is made to be operated and controlled according to the control signal, which is sent from the console B. In the control method of this air conditioner, the operation stopping signal is made to be repeatedly sent at the determined time intervals from the console B to the air conditioner body A. Herewith, even if the operation is started independently by a fault movement owing to an exogenous outside noise etc., the operation is stopped by the next operation stopping signal, so problems such as safety or loss of electric power can be securely resolved.
