PURPOSE: To dissolve the occurrence of driving slip to secure the steady running of a vehicle by making traction control take precedence over automatic transmission control or auto-cruising control in the case where the traction control is buffered with the automatic transmission control or the auto-cruising control.
CONSTITUTION: An automatic transmission establishes the optimum speed change stage meeting the state of engine operation, and controls an engine to shift it down to the first speed when a kickdown due to the abrupt pressing down of an accel pedal is detected, and moreover has traction control which closes a throttle valve to reduce the output of the engine at the time of the occurrence of slip and auto-cruising control which automatically controls the opening of the throttle valve to keep a set car speed. In this case, when a traction control signal has been inputted from a traction control computer 52 into each of computers 53, 54 for the automatic transmission control and the auto-cruising control, the kickdown control and the auto-cruising control are prohibited.
