Abstract:
PURPOSE:To detect the end of a still camera interchangeable lens having no focus encoder in the AF control of a conversion adaptor for interchangeable lens system and perform a satisfactory AF control. CONSTITUTION:A signal converting means for converting an AF control signal transmitted from a video camera to a conversion adaptor to an AF control signal controllable (drivable) by a still camera interchangeable lens group and an end detecting means 18 for detecting that the AF control command is repeated in the same direction for an optional number of times and judging an end are provided. When the AF control command is repeated in the same close or infinite direction for a certain number of times, a focus lens 1 is judged to reach the close or infinite end and made to the end information, whereby a satisfactory AF control can be performed also to a still camera interchangeable lens having no focus encoder.
