Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide converted paper high in safety, free of any odor problem, easy to produce, having good coat performance, and controllable in gas permeability.
SOLUTION: The converted paper is obtained by coating or impregnating the surface and the inside of paper or a nonwoven fabric with a low-substituted cellulose ether of 0.05-1.0 in degree of molar substitution by alkyl and/or hydroxyalkyl groups.
