Abstract:
To provide a conveyance device capable of accurately determining a type of a to-be-conveyed object.SOLUTION: The conveyance device includes a storage unit for storing a to-be-conveyed object, an image forming unit for forming an image on the to-be-conveyed object, a conveyance path component constituting a conveyance path provided in a curved shape between the storage unit and the image forming unit, a feeding roller unit for feeding the to-be-conveyed object within the conveyance path, a conveyance roller unit for conveying the to-be-conveyed object in the conveyance path to the image forming unit, a detection unit for detecting a type of to-be-conveyed object, and a control unit for controlling the operation of the feeding roller unit and the detection unit. The control unit controls the operation of the feeding roller unit so that a tip of the to-be-conveyed object abuts on the conveyance roller unit to bring the to-be-conveyed object into a stuck state of being stuck to an inner surface of an outer wall of a conveyance path constituting portion, and when the to-be-conveyed object is in the stuck state, detects a type of the to-be-conveyed object by the detection unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
