To provide a cooking stove that can be made low-priced although being capable of suitably determining whether or not the infrared transmission state of an infrared transmission portion is normal.
There is provided a cooking stove that includes: a top plate 1 having an infrared transmission portion 9 which is made of a translucent member and can transmit infrared light vertically; a burner 20; an infrared intensity detection means 50 installed on a lower side of the top plate 1 so as to detect infrared intensity as radiation intensity of the infrared light emitted from a cooking container N and transmitted through the infrared transmission portion 9; and a temperature calculation means 32 of finding the temperature in the cooking container N based upon the infrared intensity detected by the infrared intensity detection means 50. The cooking stove is provided with: a light reception means 11 for stain determination which receives the infrared light emitted from flames F formed by a burner 20 and transmitted through the infrared transmission portion 9; and a transmission state determination means 34 of determining whether or not the infrared transmission state of the infrared transmission portion 9 is normal based upon the light reception information of the light reception means 11 for stain determination.
