Title:
COOLER FOR HIGH-TEMPERATURE FLUID TRANSFER BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3044515
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the cooler for a high-temp. fluid transfer body which is simple, inexpensive, low in installation and maintenance costs, is safe and harmless and is good in cooling efficiency.
CONSTITUTION: This cooler 1 is constituted by tightly fixing a cooling body 8 to a shell 7 and installing a water feed pipe 11 in the upper part thereof. Further the cooler has a prescribed space 9. The cooling body 8 is formed from a porous material (ceramic felt) having excellent water absorption water retaining property and heat resistance at 100mm thickness. Cooling water is supplied from the water feed pipe 11 to the cooling body 8. The water feed pipe 11 is provided with a flow rate regulating valve 12 in mid-way. The space 9 is so formed in the upper part of the cooling body 8 that the cooling water heated by the shell 7 can be diffused in the form of steam into the atmosphere.
