Abstract:
To provide a compact cooling apparatus and a projector.SOLUTION: A cooling apparatus includes a heat radiation member for radiating heat transmitted from an object to be cooled; a supply-side duct for supplying a cooling gas to the heat radiation member; a discharge-side duct for discharging a cooling gas having cooled the heat radiation member; and a flowing device which allows the cooling gas to flow in the heat radiation member via the supply-side duct. The heat radiation member has multiple fins where a cooling gas flows. A supply-side centerline, which is a centerline of the supply-side duct, is inclined with respect to a normal of an inflow face defined by ends of the fins where the cooling gas flows in. A discharge-side centerline, which is a centerline of the discharge-side duct, is inclined with respect to a normal of an outflow face defined by ends of the fins where the cooling gas flows out. The supply-side centerline and the discharge-side centerline cross each other at an angle of less than 180 degrees.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
