PURPOSE: To reduce the resistance at a flow valve to reduce the load by providing an auxiliary valve in parallel with the flow valve which is opened in heating operation and opening both valves in heating operation in a cooling and heating device wherein a heat source side refrigerating cycle and a user side refrigerating cycle are separately provided.
CONSTITUTION: During a heating operation, auxiliary heat exchangers 7a, 7b of user side refrigerating cycles 14a, 14b are heat exchanged with auxiliary heat exchangers 5a, 5b of heat source side refrigerating cycles 6a, 6b respectively to heat liquid refrigerant to evaporate it, which refrigerant is sent to user side heat exchangers 16a, 6b to effect heating via connecting pipes c1, d1 and liquid refrigerant condensed after radiation of heat is sent to gas- liquid mixers 10a, 10b via connecting pipes c2, d2 and user side four-way valves 9a, 9b, where the refrigerant is conditioned and sent to flow valves 11a, 11b via refrigerant transfer devices 8a, 8b and the valves 9a, 9b, whereas auxiliary valves 12a, 12b are provided in paralled with the valves 11a, 11b to reduce the resistance at the valves 11a, 11b thereby prevent shortage of circulation quantity of refrigerant.
