Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure of an axial fan motor which can use a small-capacity motor by improving cooling effect of the motor without giving an influence on fan performance and fan noise.SOLUTION: In an axial fan motor 1 in which a motor 5 rotatively driving a propeller fan 4 is supported by a radial support member 6 integrated with a fan shroud 3 and the propeller fan 4 is disposed on a rotation shaft 7 of the motor 5, a motor case 15 of the motor 5 and the radial support member 6 are made of heat transfer material, a heat transfer structure is disposed between the motor case and the radial support member, and generated heat of the motor 5 is transferred from the motor case 15 to the radial support member 6 and is released into main flow of air flow blown out from the propeller fan 4 via the radial support member 6.
