Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tidal current power generator for generating electric power by utilizing tidal current energy, which makes an equipment cost low and which does not inhibit ship navigation.SOLUTION: A tidal current power generator includes: an axial flow-type propeller 1 that is rotated by receiving a tidal current; a power generation unit 2 that is connected to the propeller 1 and that converts rotational energy of the propeller 1 to electric energy; a support 3 that is erected from a sea bottom E and that supports the propeller 1 and the power generation unit 2; and a blade depth adjustment mechanism 4 that can change depths a and b from a sea level W of a blade 1b of the propeller 1.
