The cooling structure of the furnace bottom lower part of the blast furnace, which is constructed between a bottom plate 7 arranged at the lower surface of the body of the blast furnace 1 and the foundation 10 of the blast furnace 1 and is provided with water-cooling pipes 8 for cooling in the inner part, has a boundary line at a prescribed position in the vertical direction of the cooling structure. In the upper part from the boundary line, a pressure-fed material 21 composed of 10-60 mass% alumina raw material, >0 to 5 mass% graphite and ≥35 mass% silicon carbide raw material, and having thermal conductivity of 6-20 W/m.k is filled at a portion till the bottom plate 7. In the lower part from the boundary line, a castable material 25 having lower thermal conductivity than pressure-fed material 21, is filled at a portion till the foundation 10 of the blast furnace 1.
