Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a functionally gradient material utilizing a phase transformation by working.
To the surface of a material generating the phase transformation with introduction of strain, the working is performed and thereby, the phase transformation is generated only in the vicinity of the surface of the material. Thus, the functionally gradient material in which a material structure, mechanical characteristics or functional characteristics is distributed in a gradient manner is produced.
