Abstract:
To provide a cooling structure for a melting furnace wherein a refractory is easily disposed, and cooling efficiency for the refractory is improved to prolong the life of the refractory and hence improve durability of a furnace body.
A metal plate 17 with high heat conductivity is directly joined with and mounted on an SiC brick 13 of a refractory constituting a furnace wall of a furnace body 2, and the SiC brick 13 is disposed on a water cooling jacket 15 that is a cooling section for a furnace body 2 through the metal plate 17.
