Abstract:
To prevent reduction of boiling performance linked to reduction in cooling load during boiling/cooling operation.SOLUTION: A heat pump water heater 1 using cooling exhaust heat is provided with a pressure reducing valve at a piping part 18e from a branch point D to an outdoor heat exchanger 17, and a heat exchange temperature sensor 36 that detects the temperature of evaporated refrigerant on an indoor heat exchanger 27. The valve opening degree of tan expansion valve 113 is variably controlled by an expansion valve control unit 410C depending on the temperature of the evaporated refrigerant detected by the heat exchange temperature sensor 36. Thereby, in a state where a certain time period has passed from a state where the cooling load in the boiling/cooling operation is large and the cooling load becomes small, the valve opening degree of the expansion valve 113 is increased depending on the decrease in the temperature of the evaporated refrigerant and the amount of refrigerant to the heat exchanger 17 side is increased so as to maintain boiling performance on hot water in a hot water storage tank 2 at a constant level.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
