Abstract:
To provide a composite polymer electrolyte membrane capable of suppressing the generation of linear defects in the shape of cracks on the surface and the generation of wrinkles extending in MD even if a polyethersulfone is used as a reinforcement material.SOLUTION: There is provided a polymer electrolyte membrane comprising a nonwoven fabric and a fluorine-based polymer electrolyte, wherein the nonwoven fabric contains a polyethersulfone, the average fiber diameter of fibers in the nonwoven fabric is 3 μm or less and the average value of the shrinkage rate in the direction (direction B) perpendicular to the extending direction (direction A) when the nonwoven fabric is extended by 5% in one direction and the shrinkage rate in the direction A when the nonwoven fabric is extended by 5% in the direction B is higher than 3.1% and lower than 32.6%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
