Abstract:

To provide a copper material having integrated advantages of conventional CuAl10Ni5Fe4 and CuZn31Si1.

This copper - zinc - aluminum forging material has high resistance to stress relaxation and less settling behavior, and the forging material has a composition containing 63.5 to 66.5% copper, 2.0 to 5.4% aluminum, 4.1 to 4.9% manganese, 2.6 to 3.4% iron and 1.1 to 1.9% nickel, and the balance zinc with ordinary impurities. This material is used for a bearing bush or bearing material, particularly, for a connecting rod and a piston of an internal combustion engine.
