PURPOSE: To display the contents of trouble immediately to a serviceman, by incorporating nonvolatile RAM into a microcomputer as a memory, and judging and storing the contents of trouble.
CONSTITUTION: In a copying machine controlled by a microcomputer 10, a dispaly part 13b provided in the operation part 12 is furnished with an alarm dispaly 26 which gives an alarm when toner shortage, paper consumption, paper jamming, etc. are judged by CPU 1, and a call display 27 and which calls a serviceman when it is judged that request of repair to serviceman is necessary. The contents of trouble are stored in a nonvolatile RAM 3. Therefore, even if the power is cut off upon outbreak of trouble, when the serviceman comes and turns on the power, LED 15 corresponding to the kind of trouble is lit up immediately, so that the location of trouble may be known on the spot. Hence, repair work may be done quickly.
