Abstract:

PURPOSE: To realize a core holding mechanism for effectively holding even a core having a small size of about several mm at a correct position of a chuck of an automatic winding machine and a method for winding by using the mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: A core holding mechanism comprises a rod 10 made of a nonmagnetic material, a magnet 20 fixed to a front end of the rod 10, and a chuck 40 disposed outside the rod 10 in such a manner that its end can be opened and closed. The chuck 40 and the rod 10 are independently longitudinally movable, and the chuck 40 is rotatable together with the rod 10 at a longitudinal axis as a center.
