Title:
CORRELATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3883923
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a correlator in which an SN ratio of the correlator to calculate a correlation with received signals and a template string is improved in an impulse wireless receiver.
SOLUTION: The product of the received impulse string 500 and the template string 502 is calculated by a multiplier 501, its value is integrated by an analog integrator 505 and quantized by a quantizer 506. The quantized value is inputted to a digital integrator 508, and at the same time, it is negatively fed back to an adder 504 provided on the input side of the analog integrator 505 via a negative feed-back route 507. The output of the multiplier 501 and the quantized value are added by the adder 504. By this, quantization errors are reduced by integrating the quantization errors that occur at the quantizer 506 by the analog integrator 505 and by quantizing them with the quantizer 506 again.
