To obtain a composition which remarkably improves the surface characteristics of the skin over a long period from the time of application; and to provide a method for relaxing visual or haptical unevenness of the skin surface without being accompanied by discomfort feeling.
The composition is prepared by incorporating at least one organopolysiloxane elastomer and at least one aminosulfonic acid compound represented by formula (I), preferably 4-(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazine-1-ethanesulfonic acid (HEPES), into a physiologically allowable medium. A cosmetic method is also provided for performing care including topical application of the composition to the skin to achieve the following: reduction of visual or haptical unevenness of the skin surface; reduction of wrinkles, fine wrinkles, and/or wounds of the skin; and/or smoothing the skin; and/or homogenizing the skin color.
