Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a cosmetic for hair, capable of giving an excellent water- and oil-repellency, maintaining stability of the product, exhibiting a stain- proofing property and a dry touch and also improved in style retention by using a relatively low-cost perf luoroalkyl alcohol.
CONSTITUTION: This cosmetic for hair contains a perfluoroalkyl alcohol represented by formula I [R1 is a straight- or branched-chain perfluoroalkyl or a ω-H-perfluoroalkyl of the formula H(CF2)t [(t) is an arbitrary integer]]. As the perfluoroalkyl, a compound of formula II [(n) is 7 to 19] is especially preferable. It is recommendable that the content of the perfluoroalkyl alcohol is 0.01 to 20wt.%. In addition, a silicone or a carbon-based lubricant is recommendably further added to this cosmetic. Further, a surfactant or a solvent may be added thereto. This cosmetic can prevent adhesion of an oily stain such as head sebum, a dust, a mote, etc.
