Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic material for skin excellent in skinbeautifying effect by containing an intercellular lipid and a promoting agent for synthesizing ceramide in epidermal cells and promoting dermal function.
SOLUTION: This cosmetic material for skin excellent in skin-softening effect and amelioration effects for skin tension and skin creases, contains 0.001-10wt.% of two or more of intercellular lipids and 0.001-10wt.% of one or more of promoting agents for synthesizing ceramide in epidermal cells as effective ingredients. The intercellular lipids are selected from (A) ceramide or cerebroside, (B) a cholesterol or its derivative, (C) a phospholipid and (D) a fatty acid or its ester of an aliphatic chain alcohol. The promoting agents for synthesizing ceramide in epidermal cells are selected from nicotinic acid amide, nicotinyl alcohol, nicotinyl alcohol tartarate, nicotinic acid, methyl nicotinate, ethyl nicotinate and benzyl nicotinate.
