Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain cosmetic particles causing the leading out of only small quantity of an ultraviolet light absorber and only low skin irritancy.
CONSTITUTION: The objective cosmetic particles each is composed of core part consisting of a (meth)acrylic or styrene-based resin containing an organic ultraviolet light absorber and surface layer part consisting of the same kind of resin as above but containing no ultraviolet light absorber. These particles are obtained by dissolving an organic ultraviolet light absorber in a monomer capable of producing this resin followed by dispersing the resultant monomer in an aqueous medium and then carrying out a polymerization and by additionally incorporating the same monomer in the aqueous medium followed by carrying out further polymerization.
