The cotton swab 1 includes: a shaft part 2 whose diameter is 0.3 to 3.0 mm; a cylindrical handle part 3 which is in a color different from the shaft part 2, is fixed to the outer periphery of the almost center of the shaft part 2, is provided around by a prescribed width and has the thickness of 0.3 to 3.0 mm; and cleaning parts 4 provided on both ends of the shaft part 2. The handle part 3 is formed by winding a paper sheet 34 for the handle part in the color different from the shaft part 2 around the outer periphery of the shaft part 2, at least bonding the inner end edge 341 of the handle part paper sheet 34 to the shaft part 2 and bonding the outer end edge 342 of the handle part paper sheet 34 to the paper sheet 34 for the handle part.
